Over the next couple of weeks, we will be highlighting changes in the golf industry through the National Golf Foundation yearly reports. The National Golf Foundation’s (NGF) purpose is to provide a broad scope of the golf industry, accumulating many of the metrics of the game to gain overall insight and information of golf’s stance in the modern world. As NGF states, “Golfers play, watch, engage and consume the game in different ways than in years past. Their spending habits are changing too — not only what they’re buying, but how they’re buying and how often they’re buying.”
It is insightful to see where golf is going and to understand the industry on a higher level. Many of these changes you might have witnessed in your golf experience or, however, may have never expected or realized. We are in a new age of golf, which provides an exciting platform to grow the game of golf to a new generation.
